Diode Laser Hair Removal Machines
Hair removal systems built around 810 nm high-power laser diodes — the core of the range, with sapphire contact and TEC cooling for professional duty cycles, in floor-standing and compact Milestone formats.

The Milestone diode systems
Milestone Standard-A and Milestone Smart-M are diode laser hair removal systems for medical use. Both work at an 810 nm nominal wavelength through a 10×10 mm spot, with fluence adjustable from 1 to 40 J/cm², pulse durations of 3–160 ms and repetition rates of 1–10 Hz. Both carry FDA 510(k) clearance for hair removal and permanent hair reduction across Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI, including tanned skin.
The difference between the two systems is format and throughput. The Standard-A is a floor-standing unit of 464×387×979 mm and 46.1 kg, built for a dedicated treatment room and a full appointment book. The Smart-M packs the same cleared parameter set into a 437×355×233 mm, 18.2 kg benchtop unit that suits salons, smaller clinics and second-room installations. Full parameter tables sit on each model's detail page.
| Laser type | Diode laser |
|---|---|
| Wavelength | 810 nm nominal (±10 nm) |
| Spot size | 10 × 10 mm |
| Fluence | 1–40 J/cm² |
| Pulse duration | 3–160 ms |
| Frequency | 1–10 Hz |
| Cooling | Sapphire contact + TEC |

VCSEL diode platform
Alongside the Milestone systems, the range includes a VCSEL diode laser hair removal platform positioned for fast hair removal with 810 nm high-power laser diodes. VCSEL emitter architecture spreads the diode load across an array, which is the engineering route the company develops for long-life, high-cycle hair removal work. Clinics comparing emitter architectures can read the wavelength guide, which separates the 810 nm single-wavelength systems from the multi-wavelength variants sold elsewhere in the market.
Choosing a format
Start from the room and the appointment book, not from the headline power figure. A single-room salon with a part-time laser menu is usually better served by the compact Smart-M; a clinic running back-to-back hair removal lists needs the floor-standing Standard-A and its service format. Both systems cover the same skin-type range and the same fluence window, so the choice is about workflow, footprint and service access rather than treatment capability.
Send the inquiry form with your room layout, expected daily treatment count and skin-type mix, and the reply will recommend a format with the configuration and documentation pack for that model.
- Floor-standing format for dedicated, high-throughput rooms
- Compact benchtop format at 18.2 kg for salons and second rooms
- Same cleared parameter window on both Milestone systems
- OEM and ODM supply available on the diode platform
