Alexandrite Laser Hair Removal Machines

The alexandrite line works at 755 nm, the wavelength clinics traditionally choose for hair removal on lighter skin and hair types. The Alex 755 platform delivers up to 2000 W of laser power with fluence from 0 to 100 J/cm², pulse widths of 3–200 ms and dynamic DCD cooling in a non-contact treatment format, and the range is offered in water-free Gentle and Pro formats for hair types I–IV.

The 755 nm position in a hair removal range

Alexandrite at 755 nm is strongly absorbed by melanin, which is why it has long been the reference wavelength for hair removal on Fitzpatrick hair types I–IV and lighter skin. Clinics that already run an 810 nm diode platform add an alexandrite system to cover the lighter-skin segment with the wavelength their clinicians trained on, and alexandrite-led clinics use it as their primary hair removal platform. The comparison page sets the two Laserconn families side by side — wavelength, skin-type range and cooling method — so buyers can decide on parameters rather than on marketing labels.

Formats in the range

The Alex 755 is the parameterised model in this line, with an 8-inch HD touch screen and DCD dynamic cooling; its full published specification is on the detail page. The wider alexandrite range includes the Alex755 Gentle in a water-free format — no water circuit to fill, drain or maintain — and the Alex755 Pro, a solid-state laser hair removal format. Where a parameter has not been published for a format, this site does not invent one: ask through the inquiry form and the reply will carry the current configuration sheet for the format you are evaluating.

DCD cooling and the non-contact format

Dynamic cooling sprays cryogen onto the skin immediately around each pulse, protecting the epidermis while the 755 nm energy targets the follicle. Because cooling is delivered without a contact window, treatment is non-contact: the handpiece does not press a cooled sapphire onto the skin the way the diode platforms do. Clinicians who prefer that working style — and clinics treating large areas at speed — usually cite the non-contact format and the cooling control as the reasons they keep an alexandrite in the room. The cooling guide compares contact sapphire and TEC cooling on the diode side with the DCD approach here.
